Founder of New Light
Publishing and publisher of
Pat
Sampson’s positive philosophy of life is rooted in the good fortune of
finding employment — many moons ago — as an assistant to successful
business and sales executives. From watching them she began to understand
that to do well, you must first think well; and it all starts with
believing in yourself. The office was a gold mine of positive people and
positive
thinking
material.
Think and Grow Rich
was required
reading;
positive
thinking books, tapes and seminars became part of daily life.

Finding
herself the sole support of two little girls, she entered the world of
sales. Pat’s first year with one of the nation’s leading community
developers and with no previous sales experience, she ranked first in a
four-thousand-strong sales force. After yearly achieving the company’s
highest honors, she sought new challenges in the competitive field of life
insurance. Within six months she became the first woman in the Franklin
Life Insurance Company’s ninety-six year history, admitted to the
exclusive Four Honor Club. Lauded as one of our nation’s leading
salespeople and as the subject of numerous media interviews and newspaper
articles, Pat began sharing her story to encourage others facing their own
challenges. At the height of her career she left
financial
rewards behind to write her first book,
A Star to Steer
By,
which would be featured as Editor’s Choice in
Success,
Unlimited.
Pat never
looked back. A burning desire to create a venue for recognizing
positive
people resulted in publishing
Dreaming and
Winning in America,
an inspirational collection of philosophies of ninety-five extraordinary
Americans; and
Positive News,
a Good News Tabloid.
Letters
from people yearning for positive news poured in; and messages of
encouragement from her heroes, W. Clement Stone and Dr. Norman Peale,
cemented her commitment to a dream that would never go away.
